Senioritis Denial

I can't wait for summer to arrive. I never thought senioritis would hit me so hard. And me feeling so far behind in my projects.

I've given up on trying to complete the last of my assigned readings for Advanced Poetry, figuring it's up to someone else to lead student comments during class discussions for once. That should please Kasey as I believe he may have grown irritated with my vocal opposition to the overintellectual readings.

In addition, I can't stay focused on my novella. For those who don't know, it's about a modern unrecognized poet who travels back in time thinking he can beat the Beats to the punch, only to realize the 1950s were a time ripe for rebellion whereas the 2000s are a time when rebellion is conformity.

So in keeping with my lack of performance thus far, I bid you goodnight; I'm going to relax and watch a movie before starting a 9:00 am to 9:00 pm day.

Oh boy, can I relate. Only 19 days until my last final (as an undergrad, anyway).

In the past, I always snickered inside at people who told me they had "senioritis." Never dreamed I would succumb, but it's got me bad. Amanda's about to kill me, I've been such a wacko last month or so.

Hang in there, buddy! Your misery has company.

Wow, I feel the same way and I'm not even a senior! I am so ready for this school year to be over, This is the first time I have felt this tired out by school and seeing that it is the end of my third year I guess that isn't too bad. Time for the summer and full time work!

Hang it there, it will be over soon enough, at least that's what I keep telling myself :)
